Coogee Prep competed at the 2026 IPSHA Athletics Carnival at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Track, following weeks of dedicated preparation and specialist training at Alison Park.
Our boys’ commitment was rewarded with outstanding results, as both the Junior and Senior Relay teams finished first in their respective races. George Monks also delivered an impressive performance in the open shot put, finishing fourth and securing qualification for the CIS Athletics Carnival.
Beyond these achievements, the boys demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, determination and team spirit throughout the day. They supported one another, strived for personal bests and enthusiastically cheered on their teammates, reflecting what it means to be a Sportsman at Coogee Prep.
A special thank you to Mr Sarkies and all staff involved in supporting and encouraging the team, both in training and on carnival day.
Congratulations to all our competitors on their efforts and achievements.
