A welcome from Mr Jason Wren-Pattison, fourth Principal of Coogee Boys' Preparatory School.

Welcome to Coogee Boys' Preparatory School

It is a profound privilege to lead our school as its fourth Principal. Working in close partnership with our Executive Principal, Mr John Dicks, I am proud to help carry forward a legacy of stability, continuity, and community that has been at the heart of Coogee Prep for more than a century.

What makes Coogee Prep truly special is the depth of our community. In our close-knit setting, every boy is known, valued, and encouraged to discover his individual strengths. Our teachers know their students deeply, our boys build friendships across year groups, and our families are closely connected. This creates a genuine sense of belonging where every boy truly has a place.

This strong foundation allows us to focus on developing the whole boy. We guide our students to grow in character, cultivate a lifelong love of learning, and embrace every opportunity with confidence and integrity.

While we are immensely proud of our history, our focus is firmly on the future. We are committed to providing an education that prepares our boys for high school and beyond with curiosity, resilience, and purpose.

The Principal knows every boy's name. In a school of one class per year group, that is a description rather than a promise.

Stability and continuity

Four Principals in more than a century, and an Executive Principal working alongside. Families meet the same people year after year, and so do the boys.
